Renting Out Space

The room that is empty at midday can be revenue.

Most studios stand empty half the day. A rental is a space, a range of hours and a price, with an occupancy view showing what your own classes have already taken, so you never let the room for an hour that already has a class in it.

What It Does

  1. By Space and By Hour

Each room with its own price, and different rates for different hours.

  2. Occupancy You Can See

A view of what classes hold and what is free to let.

  3. Paid Like Anything Else

The same till, the same tax invoice, the same report.

  4. A Regular Tenant

Same person, same hour, every week, without setting it up again.

  5. No Collisions

An hour that is let cannot take a class, and the other way round.

  6. Its Own Line

Rental revenue appears separately from membership revenue.

How It Works

  1. Make a space lettable

Pick the room, the price, and the hours it is available.

  2. Somebody asks for an hour

The request arrives with the time, the space and the price.

  3. Approve and charge

Payment goes through the same till and raises a tax invoice.

  4. The hour is held

It is blocked in the diary, so no class can land on it.

Common Questions

Can I let only some of my rooms?

Yes. Letting is defined per space, so one room can stay entirely yours.

Does rental revenue mix with memberships in reports?

It is in the report, on its own line. Rental income is not membership income and the two should not blur.

Can I have a regular tenant?

Yes. The same space at the same hour on a repeating basis, without setting it up each week.
