This page covers every app built on the Makom platform: the Makom marketplace app, and each studio-branded app such as the one your studio gave you. They share one account system, so deleting your account here deletes it everywhere.
Open the app, go to Account & Data, and choose to delete your account. You do not need to contact anyone and you do not need to wait for us. While you are there you can also export a copy of your data first, which is worth doing if you want to keep your booking history.
Email isaac@getmakom.com from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number on it. Write "Delete my Makom account" and name the studio app you use, if it is a studio app.
We may ask for reasonable proof that the account is yours before acting. Never send a password, a one-time code or a full card number. We will never ask you for any of those.
Deletion starts a seven-day grace period. Nothing is removed during those seven days.
Changed your mind? Sign in during the seven days and the deletion is cancelled automatically. Nothing is lost, and you do not have to tell anyone.
At the end of the grace period the account is closed and the personal information attached to it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. That includes your profile and contact details, your bookings, waitlists and attendance history, your health declaration and accessibility information, your messages and class-board posts, any file you uploaded, your notification tokens and your saved preferences.
Deleting your account does not cancel a membership contract with your studio and does not settle an outstanding balance. If you have a recurring membership, cancel it with your studio as well, or ask the studio to confirm it is closed.
Cancelling a membership is a separate right, and a stronger one. Israeli law lets you end a rolling membership at any time, and lets you end a fixed-term gym membership at any time too, with the cancellation fee capped by statute. Deleting your account here does not do that for you. The terms of use set out how, in sections 6 and 7.
If you want less than a full deletion, Account & Data also lets you export your data, correct your details, and change what other members can see about you. Turning off notifications does not require deleting anything.
For what we hold and for how long, see the privacy policy. For anything else, write to isaac@getmakom.com.
If we refuse a deletion or a correction, we will tell you why. Under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you can ask a court to order a correction we have refused, and you can complain about how we handled the request to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority (הרשות להגנת הפרטיות).
